Refunds and Cancellation Policy
1. Overview
This Refunds and Cancellation Policy explains how billing, cancellation, and refunds work for subscriptions and one-time purchases on reviews.localseo.works, operated by Local SEO Works. Payments are processed by Stripe in US dollars (USD). Prices shown are tax-inclusive.
2. Subscriptions
2.1 Monthly and annual billing
Your account uses one billing cycle for all locations — either monthly or annual. You are charged at the start of each billing period. Annual plans are charged once per year at the published annual rate (equivalent to ten months of the monthly price).
2.2 Adding or removing locations
When you add a location from your dashboard, your Stripe subscription quantity increases and you are typically charged a prorated amount immediately for the remainder of the current billing period. When you remove a location (subject to keeping at least one), a prorated credit may apply to your account. Exact amounts are calculated by Stripe and visible in your Stripe Customer Portal and invoices.
2.3 Failed payments
If a renewal payment fails, Stripe Smart Retries may attempt to collect payment again. Your account may enter a past_due status. Review links remain active for a short grace period while we attempt to collect payment; after that grace period, links show a neutral unavailable page until payment is restored. You will receive email notice when payment fails. Update your payment method via the Stripe Customer Portal from your dashboard.
3. Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time through the Stripe Customer Portal (linked from your dashboard). Cancellation stops future renewals. Your subscription remains active until the end of the current paid billing period unless Stripe processes immediate cancellation — check the portal for your exact end date.
After cancellation:
- review links become unavailable;
- dashboard access may continue for reactivation and record-keeping; and
- your data is not deleted automatically — you may reactivate later.
Canceling does not automatically delete your account or export your data. Contact us if you need account deletion.
4. Refunds
4.1 Subscription fees
Subscription fees are generally non-refundable, including for partial billing periods. If you cancel mid-cycle, you retain access for the time you have already paid unless otherwise required by law. We do not provide cash refunds for unused days on monthly or annual plans except where:
- we are required to under the Australian Consumer Law or other mandatory consumer protections; or
- we agree in writing to a refund in exceptional circumstances (for example duplicate charges or proven billing error on our side).
4.2 Annual plans
If you cancel an annual subscription early, you will not receive a pro-rata refund for the remaining months unless required by law. Your access continues until the end of the annual period you paid for.
4.3 Extra NFC card orders
One-time card orders ($2.50 per card plus $9.95 shipping per order) are non-refundable once the order has entered fulfilment. If you cancel before fulfilment begins, contact us promptly — we will assess cancellation on a case-by-case basis but cannot guarantee a refund once production or shipping has started.
4.4 Signup fulfilment cards
NFC cards included with each location subscription are part of the subscription price. They are not sold separately at signup and are not refundable independently of the subscription refund rules above.
5. Chargebacks and disputes
If you believe a charge is incorrect, contact us first so we can investigate. Unjustified chargebacks may result in suspension of the Service.
6. How to manage billing
From your dashboard, use Manage billing to open the Stripe Customer Portal where you can:
- update your payment method;
- view invoices and payment history;
- switch between monthly and annual billing (where offered); and
- cancel your subscription.
7. Changes
We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Material billing changes to active subscriptions will be communicated in advance where required.
